I have been a professional audio engineer for over 20 years. After earning my Bachelor's degree, I began working as a technical engineer with Sony Classical in New York City. I was on the 'bleeding-edge' of early digital audio and the use of computers in recording. Very quickly, I became the person people called for technical assistance and training. This adeptness for one-on-one training led me to an adjunct teaching position with McGill University. This sparked my love of education and led me to a full-time position as recording engineer for the University of South Carolina School of Music. In my current position I have developed and regularly teach six courses in audio recording. I am always looking for ways to improve my instruction, and a master's degree program that combines technology and education has been a natural fit.
Along with the School of Music administration I have developed a Bachelor of Science in Recording and am currently working to have it approved by the university administration. We hope to accept the first group of students in Fall 2013.
I wish to thank the many people who have supported, encouraged, and assisted me throughout the last 3 years including my professors, the faculty and staff at the USC School of Music, and most of all, my wife and family.
